cave — Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Abdullah Ahmed ("we", "us") for the cave app. By using cave you accept them. If you do not, delete the app.
cave is distributed on the App Store through the Apple Developer account of Yaseen Ahmed, which is the seller name shown on the listing. This agreement is still with us: that account publishes the app and is not a party to these terms.
1. What cave is
cave builds a training plan and adapts it when you tell it something changed. It uses an automated coach — a large language model — to interpret what you say and to propose changes.
cave proposes; you decide. Nothing changes your plan until you approve it. This is a design rule of the app, not a courtesy.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. You may not use cave if a doctor has told you not to exercise.
2a. Your account
cave requires you to sign in with Apple before you can use it. You are responsible for keeping access to that Apple ID; if you lose it, we cannot move your training to a different one, because that identity is the only thing your data is attached to.
One person, one account. Do not share it, and do not sign in as someone else.
Sign out releases the device and leaves your data with us. Delete my data erases it and cannot be undone — see §6 of the Privacy Policy for exactly what goes. We may suspend or close an account under §7.
3. cave is not medical advice — read this one
This is the most important section in this document.
- cave is a fitness and scheduling tool. It is not a medical device, and we are not your doctor, physiotherapist, or healthcare provider.
- Nothing cave says is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not and cannot diagnose an injury, and it is built to refuse to try.
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have an injury, have a heart condition, take medication, or have any condition that exercise could affect.
- If you tell cave about an injury, it will try to keep sessions that would aggravate it off your week. This is a convenience, not a clinical safeguard. It can be wrong, incomplete, or based on something you described imprecisely. It is not a substitute for a clinician's advice and must never be treated as clearance to train.
- Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you feel chest pain, dizziness, faintness, or any pain that is sharp, sudden, or unfamiliar.
- You train at your own risk. Physical exercise carries an inherent risk of injury, including serious injury. You accept that risk. You are responsible for judging whether any session is safe for you on the day, and for stopping when it is not.
4. The automated coach
cave's coach is a large language model. That means:
- It can be wrong. It may misread what you said, suggest something unsuitable, or state something inaccurate with apparent confidence. Treat its output as a suggestion from software, not an instruction from a professional.
- Use your judgement. You are the one in the gym. If a suggestion looks wrong for your body on that day, it is wrong — do not do it.
- Your input is sent to third-party providers to generate a response. See the Privacy Policy, §3. Do not type anything into cave you would not want processed by those providers.
- We do not guarantee it will be available, accurate, or consistent, and we may change or replace the model behind it at any time.
5. Subscriptions
cave is currently free, and nothing is sold inside it. There is no purchase screen, no subscription, and no trial. You will not be charged. The rest of this section describes how paid subscriptions will work if and when they are introduced; until then none of it applies, and we will update this document and show a notice in the app before it does.
If subscriptions are introduced, cave will offer an optional cave Pro tier and the free tier will remain usable.
- Price, billing period, and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, and are charged to your Apple ID.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If you have already used the trial on your Apple ID, you are charged immediately and the purchase screen says so.
- Cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple's Media Services terms. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
- If we change the price, Apple will ask you to agree before it takes effect.
6. Your content
What you write, log, and import stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the app for you: to store it, to show it back to you, and to send the relevant parts to the coaching providers so the coach can answer. We do not use your content to train any model, and we do not publish it.
You are responsible for what you put in. Do not import material you have no right to use.
7. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law with it; try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or its backend; use automated means to send requests; or attempt to reach data that is not yours.
We may limit or end your access if you do — see §8 of the Privacy Policy for the rate limits we apply as standard.
8. Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue cave, in whole or in part, at any time. We will try to give notice where we reasonably can. Features that depend on third-party services — the coach, sync, purchases — can be unavailable through no fault of ours.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that:
- cave is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from exercise you chose to do, including any session cave planned, proposed, or adjusted. §3 is the basis of this: you are responsible for whether training is safe for you.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profit, or opportunity.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100.
If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law of your country gives you, and nothing here takes those away.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt have exclusive jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may bring proceedings in your own country and the mandatory consumer law of your country still applies.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will show it in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use cave after that means you accept the new terms.
